Question about oxytocin/pitocin?

So I have been somewhat in labor for almost 2 days now. Doc said I should have the baby any day, but I am having a lot of trouble dilating. I just found out from my mom that there is a family history (my gma, 2 aunts and cousin) of not producing enough oxytocin (natural pitocin) and they all had to be induced or had a c section because of it. I don't know if that is the case for me because I had to be induced with my first daughter due to lack of amniotic fluid. She was full term and then some, so it would make since. Has any one heard of anything like this before? If so what would you suggest?
