Wife was on the pill 20 years, now taking progesterone for high estrogen levels.?

Different women respond to different hormones differently, so there's no set thing. For example, progesterone is a downer and estrogen is an upper. Your wife might be angry because she feels depressed from the progesterone, I suppose. Or it could be she's angry due to the high estrogen. It's hard to say. My recommendation is to talk to her and bring her attention to her hostile and abusive behavior. Because that's not OK. It's not an excuse to say your hormones are out of whack.
