On birth control, am i spotting?!?

My last hormonal pill was yesterday and i started some brownish discharge before i took the last one. I was going to skip my last white pills and just start the next pack because im going away and dont want to have my period. I took the hormonal pill today but im still getting a brownish discharge. Am i going to have my period or is it going to go away soon!?! and how do you swim with it! its to light to wear a tampon! help! ( also never have had sex before)
