36 wks 6 days pregnant - mucus plug?

I had an exam Wednesday and was dialated to a 3.5 and 50% effaced. I had light bleeding all afternoon and my nurse told me that was normal after an exam. LAter that night I thought I was leaking amniotic fluid so the on call nurse advised me to go L&D. I did and everything was ok. They did check me again and no change. Ever since then I have been bleeding and it's very stringy/mucus like. Sorry if TMI. I'm just wondering if it's my mucus plug? With my daughter I only had a little come out. But this has been going on since early Thursday morning and today is Friday. Just curious if anyone has had an experience like this. thanks!
